Saint Mary’s softball head coach Jessica Hanaseth-Rodgers has announced the signing of eight outstanding student-athletes to join the Gael softball program for the 2012-13 school year.  The eight players that will join the Gaels are Jessica Bever (San Diego, Calif.), Loralie Fitzpatrick (Roseville, Calif.), Andrea Hazel (Yuba City, Calif.), Shannon Low (Alamo, Calif.), Taylor McClanahan (Elk Grove, Calif.), Erica Musgrave (Lodi, Calif.), Lujane Mussadi (Los Gatos, Calif.) and Monika Reichhardt (Frisco, Texas).

Brigham Young University has accepted an invitation to join the Pacific Coast Softball Conference, PCSC Commissioner Ellen Moore announced Monday. The Cougars’ first year in the PCSC will be the 2013 softball season. The addition of BYU will give the PCSC seven teams for the 2013 campaign.

The CSU Bakersfield softball team released its schedule on Monday and first-year head coach Crissy Buck will lead the Roadrunners through a slate of high-caliber programs including a game against Oklahoma in the UNLV Sportco Kickoff Classic and a home doubleheader against Washington, two teams that ended the 2011 season ranked in the top 15 of the USA Today/NFCA Division I poll.

Reigning PCSC Mountain Division Coach of the Year Todd Fairbourne announced Tuesday that two players signed National Letters of Intent to play softball at Utah Valley University. Joining the Wolverine softball program for the 2013 season will be Debra Lovell (Downey, Calif.) and Morgan Summers (Tremonton, Utah).
